Wore it to LACMA. It felt comfortable and easy but still very stylish.

I volunteered at the Salvation Army center around here a couple years ago, helping families pick out toys. It was really fun and I thought I was doing a good thing until two men came in. They were in poor shape, they wore a lot of layers and their jackets and pants had dirt and dust on them. I think they had been sleeping outside. They were coming in to get food from the kitchen, and one of the staff members took them to another room that wasn’t the kitchen. After a while, they were both escorted out of the building. I learned later that day they were kicked out because the staff speculated they were a gay couple and didn’t want to cater to those kind of people.
I can’t even look at the bellringers without being ashamed of them. They help a lot of people, but I don’t want to contribute to a group that still considers homosexuality to be condemnatory.
Especially around the Holidays…

Gay and It’s OKAY.
I don’t blog very often because I usually don’t have much to say about anything that happens in the world but on certain topics, I have to say my peace.
The issue or topic that has been pondering in my mind lately is bullying and how that can leave a big scar in someones life forever.
Learning what happened to Jamey Rodemeyer who was a victim of bullying woke something inside of me. As a victim of bullying myself, I can say that yes, it does and will mess with your head. You can try your best to not listen or not let it affect you, but it does in some way, shape or form. Jamey, who was being bullied committed suicide because he was “different”, because he was Gay. It’s it makes me so upset and afraid that this is real and does it happens. Obviously Jamey was not the first but I still, from this day, CANNOT fathom nor wrap my head around the fact that this still happens. For someone who can destroy a human life should not be called a human being. How can you sleep or live the rest of your life knowing that you have caused someone to hate themselves? You don’t have to accept it nor care for it, but you do not have to take away someone’s happiness.
I honestly don’t care about a lot of things, But this, this is what I care about. To live in a world without judgement or hate because you are “different” will be heaven on earth.
I’d rather be different then be a close minded arrogant fuck. For this, I give the assholes out there a double fucking barrel.
May Jamey Rodemeyer rest in peace and may his family find peace as well.
